Account Information: Name, email address, and password when you create an account; Trip Preferences: Travel dates, destination, group size, budget, dietary requirements, mobility constraints, and other trip planning details; Payment Information: Processed by third-party payment processors; we do not store full card details; User Content: Itineraries, notes, preferences, comments, and trip-related content you create

Authentication: When you sign in with Google OAuth, we receive your name, email, and profile picture

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

WanderBu uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate itineraries, recommendations, comfort assessments, and travel insights. While we strive for accuracy and relevance, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, outdated information, or suggestions that do not fully reflect current conditions.

Users are strongly encouraged to independently verify all critical travel information — including visa requirements, health regulations, safety advisories, pricing, and availability — before making travel decisions. WanderBu does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content and disclaims liability for any actions taken based on such content.

5. User Content Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or input into WanderBu, including itineraries and trip plans; preferences and settings; notes, comments, and descriptions; and any other trip-related content.

By using WanderBu, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the service.

  • Allows us to render your content across devices and share it with collaborators you authorize; Does not grant us ownership or the right to use your content for purposes unrelated to WanderBu; Remains in effect only as long as your account is active or as required by law

You may delete your content or account at any time, subject to our Account Deletion and Data Retention section below.

6. Collaboration & Shared Trips

WanderBu allows you to invite collaborators to view and contribute to your trip plans. When you share a trip, trip information may be visible to invited collaborators, visibility is determined by the permissions you assign, you are responsible for managing collaborator access, and WanderBu does not monitor or control how collaborators use or share trip information outside of the platform.

By inviting collaborators, you consent to the sharing of your trip data with those individuals according to your chosen permission settings.

7. Location & Mapping Data

WanderBu processes location-related information to provide routing, destination suggestions, mapping features, and relevant local recommendations. This includes destinations and waypoints you enter or select, routing and navigation data used to generate itineraries, and map-related information to display locations and travel paths.

Real-time location tracking is not performed unless you explicitly enable location services in your device or browser settings.

8. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with service providers, travel partners & affiliates, legal compliance requirements, and business transfers.

All third-party service providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.

9. AI Training & Model Improvement

WanderBu may use aggregated and anonymized trip data, prompts, and interaction patterns to improve our AI systems and enhance the quality of recommendations and generated content.

10. Analytics and Tracking

We use analytics tools and cookies to understand how users interact with our platform and to improve user experience. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to track website and app usage, and cookies for session maintenance, preference storage, traffic analysis, and offline data storage.

You can manage your cookie preferences or opt out of analytics tracking through your browser settings or via any consent management tools provided on our platform.

11. Data Storage and Security

We use Supabase for data storage with industry-standard encryption, passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text, payment processing is handled by PCI-DSS compliant third parties, and we implement reasonable security measures to protect your data.

While we take security seriously, no internet transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

12. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or object to certain data processing activities.

13. Account Deletion and Data Retention

You may request the deletion of your WanderBu account at any time. We will process the request within 30 days and permanently delete your personal data from our active systems.

Some data may be retained in backups for a limited period for security and compliance purposes. Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot be linked back to you may be retained for analytical or model improvement purposes.

14. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

15. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

For Users in the European Economic Area (EEA): We process your data based on legitimate interests, contract performance, and consent where required. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

For Users in California (CCPA): California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and to request deletion. We do not sell personal information.
